Gather feedback on positive aspects, knowledge gained, and areas to improve. Understand what participants valued and what they missed. Find actionable insights to improve future sessions.
You'll get 4L's retrospective insights, identifying what was liked, learned, lacked, and longed for. This forms a base for future improvements.
Emphasize that all feedback is valuable. There are no wrong answers. This builds psychological safety for honest reflection. The "Longed For" category is great for future ideas. Sometimes people struggle with 'Lacked' vs. 'Longed for' - it's ok to re-explain.

  1. Set up a board with four quadrants: "Liked," "Learned," "Lacked," and "Longed For." 2. Give participants a few minutes to reflect silently on the session. 3. Participants add feedback on virtual sticky notes to the matching quadrant. Liked: What did you enjoy? Learned: What did you learn? Lacked: What was missing? Longed For: What do you wish was included? 4. Discuss the items in each quadrant, looking for themes and takeaways.
