Participatory design means collaborating with those closest to a problem to create a collective solution. This approach prioritizes equity and shared decision-making power. It works against systems of oppression. It can take different forms, from meaningful consultation to deeper involvement in decisions. Selecting your participatory approach sets the tone for how you'll center and care for community members.

  1. Find time for your team to walk through the guided activity. It pairs well with a project kickoff meeting.
