  1. Gather your research: interview notes, transcripts, observation records, surveys, photos, videos, and secondary research.

  2. Prep the workspace: Use a large wall or digital canvas. Create an organizing framework and color-coding system.

  3. Extract key findings: Transfer observations to sticky notes. Include direct quotes and note sources.

  4. Cluster related findings: Group similar observations. Look for patterns and themes. Create category labels.

  5. Analyze clusters for insights: What patterns emerge? What contradictions exist? What opportunities are revealed?

  6. Document key insights and their implications.

  7. Share findings with stakeholders.
