Mind Mapping

Mind mapping helps you capture and organize information visually. Start with a central concept and branch out with related ideas, words, and images. It's a non-linear way to represent your thoughts.

Objectives

Visually organize ideas. Stimulate creative thinking and new associations. Get a holistic view of a topic and its connections.

Outcomes

A mind map of the topic. A visual thinking structure. Connected ideas and concepts.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Start with a central topic in the middle of a blank canvas (digital or physical). 2. Create main branches from the central idea for key sub-topics. 3. Add keywords, short phrases, or images to these branches. 4. From the main branches, create smaller sub-branches for more detail. 5. Use colors, images, and symbols to make the mind map engaging.

Facilitator Tips

Encourage single keywords or short phrases instead of long sentences to keep the map clear. Mind mapping works individually or collaboratively. I've found that setting a time limit helps people focus.
